Hiking in Crévoux

From the simple but magnificent family hike to the Razis waterfall, to the sporty and confidential itineraries in the valley bottom towards the Lalatcha lake or the Grand Parpaillon, at almost 3000m, the choice of hikes is vast and will satisfy all tastes.

Another classic is Lac du Crachet, a small high-altitude lake with shallow, crystal-clear waters nestled in the heart of a wild, unspoilt valley. It's a 2-hour uphill climb, but the calm and serenity of the lake's cirque is well worth the effort!

Above the lake, the valley becomes much wilder and less frequented, rising rapidly to end up in a totally mineral universe. The trails give way to cairns scattered here and there, leading to the Col du Crachet, the Pointe de l'Eyssina and the almost lunar atmosphere of the Lac de Lalatcha. Guaranteed solitude and exceptional panoramic views of the Ecrins, Queyras and Haute Ubaye.

From the Cabane des Espagnols, you can discover the Eyguettes valley and its vast mountain pastures along an easy but long trail leading to the Parpaillon tunnel. Herds of cows and unafraid marmots will be your main encounters in this splendid setting where the Grand Parpaillon (2990m) reigns supreme.

Mountain biking in Crévoux

For mountain bikers, the not-to-be-missed ascent of the Parpaillon trail and the crossing of the tunnel, at an altitude of 2650m, is a real highlight for cross-country mountain bikers. It's a rather sporty but not technically difficult route, which will be much more affordable with an electric-assist mountain bike! For lovers of technical trails, the Col de Girabeau variant offers a steady descent into the Grand Vallon des Orres.

More accessible and with no technical difficulties, the Réal loop takes you on a wonderful journey through the forest along the Bouche Clauze forest track.
