Crévoux resort: a natural ski paradise
At Crévoux, the slopes have not undergone major earthworks to accommodate the ever-increasing number of visitors. You'll find a type of skiing that's rare in other resorts. It's a technical ski that adapts to the terrain, transforming even the smallest slope into a veritable roller-coaster. Thanks to its high altitude and favorable exposure, snowmaking is just around the corner, ensuring that you can ski right back to the snow front. You'll ski the entire Alpine resort on 100% natural snow!
The difference in altitude and the north-facing aspect of the slopes appeal to powder lovers, who find here the calm and serenity that have disappeared elsewhere in the frenzy of the "race to the trail". Wide-open skiing in the immaculate alpine valleys of the Pré de l'Etoile precedes wild descents between the larches. The airy forest is a powder paradise of infinite possibilities. It's also a much-appreciated refuge on bad-weather days, as the trees improve visibility for anthology freeride sessions under the flakes.
Skiing for the whole family
The resort's 5 ski lifts and 16 runs will delight all skiers, from beginners to advanced. From the snow front, you canintroduce the little ones to the joys of skiing in the snow garden and then on the green runs. You can then take to the ski lifts for some great rides on the playful blue runs that slalom between the larches. More experienced skiers will delight in the technical terrain movements, layouts and slope changes to be found throughout the ski area.
Nordic area, snow... differently
The La Chalp Nordic ski area lets you enjoy the mountains at your own pace. Along the Plateau de la Chalp, you'll find easy cross-country ski trails and snowshoe itineraries with plenty of sunshine. On the ubac, long Nordic cross-country ski trails run along summer forest roads. For the more athletic, there are some challenging climbs. But if you prefer to stroll and enjoy the scenery, these routes will take you right into the heart of the forest.
At the entrance to the domain, you'll find a biathlon area with a permanent shooting range. You can try your hand at this sport with laser rifles, before taking the plunge and using specific rifles. A pedestrian link leads to the downhill ski resort via the Château sector. Here you can also ride Fat Bikes (with an instructor), an electrically-assisted mountain bike specially designed for riding on snow.
For dog sledding, head for thePracos itinerary, opposite the hamlet of Praveyral. This is a little-known, very wild area, also accessible from the alpine ski resort, offering vast snowfields at the foot of the Méale forest for magical Nordic walks in powder snow.
The Nordic area is also the gateway to a wild and unspoilt high mountain. A true paradise for ski touring and ice climbing...
